New Flower-Fed Nordic Pork Packages arrive in Hong Kong, July 2017!

The most delicious and tender meat on the market is back in Hong Kong- now with new packaging and flavors- but with the same flavour, texture and health benefits that you’ve come to expect from premium Nordic pork. Scan’s flower-fed pork is fully antibiotic free- this means that the pigs have never seen antibiotics, ever!! Only delicious, juicy and tender pork, which is simple to cook to perfection.

This July you will be able to find 5 new items on store shelves throughout Hong Kong.

  • Pork ribeye steak 240g
  • Pork ribeye with tomato and basil butter 280g
  • Pork collar 280g
  • Pork belly in slices 280g
  • Whole (small) piece of belly 400g

These are packed into slimfresh package, which is a high performance laminated board package that consists of a recyclable, moisture resistant laminated paperboard backing combined with vacuum skin technology. The package is both easy open and leak-proof.

A unique feature of Scan’s premium pork, is that their pigs are flower-fed. Meaning they add Brassica napus seed(bright yellow flowers commonly seen in Nordic countries, that produces oil-rich seeds- this is one of nature’s best sources of Omega 3!) to the feed of their pigs. This ensures that Scan’s flower-fed pork contains 4 times more Omega 3’s when compared to conventional pork. And it can be cooked any way you like- since it’s loaded with high-quality fat, the meat is quick to prepare. Since it stays juicy and tender longer, cooking time is less critical as well.
